In 1984 a young crazy boy in south east London (Plumstead) was about to start an incredible journey and realise a dream. Aged 11 Neil performed a small comedy show for the local children outside his maisonette home. This became popular and each week Neil would perform a short 15 minute show, then Neil added magic to the show. Soon the local play centre heard about the show and Neil's show known only as the Nutty Neil show, was perform in a bigger venue. The show
went on tour later the next year.

After school Neil continued his training with a few small theatre schools and wrote and performed in a few shows like "Visitor from out there" and "Christmas magic". Neil even performed for the Queen for her commonwealth birthday at Buckingham palace. Neil Stroud was later named "The Young Houdini by local press.
Neil joined Warner family holiday centre in Caister & Sea Shore both in Great Yarmouth. Neil was very popular in the kids club and enjoyed his job throughout. Neil Joined Warner in Weymouth for Christmas.
After this Neil joined a theatre group performing the Rock Horror show and performed for 6 months as "Frank'n'futer" and "Riff Raff".
He then joined Butlins in Pwllheli in north Wales, as a Redcoat Neil went from strength to strength. He was allowed his own show the second year in called the 6 0'clock show, before the main evening entertainment. Here Neil got to chat and even perform alongside some of showbiz's celebrities such as Keith Harris & Orville, Chuckle Bros, Charlie
Caroli jnr, Michael Barrymore, Little and Large and Cannon and ball to name but a few. |
After this Neil joined a small independent entertainment company called Funny Farm Entertainments supplying to corporate events and private functions across the country. Neil changed his performance name to Fizz and Fizzini for the close up magic and more mature magic and comedy show. This show became popular for M.O.D events and later performed for Gerry Halliwell's birthday party and after that a string of other celebrity events.
Neil then joined a circus called the Papprhiann international (a spin off the Hungarian state circus) and toured the Midlands and Wales. This show was the main feature for a BBC 2 Documentary called "Circus Dreams".
Neil was called to perform on London Carlton Television's "The Warehouse". And later on SMTV and CDUK backing up Big Bro singing "Nu Flo".
After another year of performing throughout the country Neil moved to the Canary Islands and performed his own show and alongside his comedy partner Jeff Birrell as 2 short planks. A Year later Neil returned to the UK and now continues to perform his talents.
2006 saw the birth of the "Almost magic" launched to raise money for Children in Need. This show has now become a popular addition to Neil's repertoire.
